DAD'S OLD SONGS ~ Ya gotta love them!

As an octogenarian let me tell you that in my eight decades of life I have watched the music industry evolve through its many phases from the classical ballads, jazz, and boogie of the thirties and forties, on into the doo-wop of the oldy-goldy fifties, the soft rock of the sixties, hard rock of the seventies, and the heavy metal of the eighties. While I enjoyed the ride through most of those periods, I don't agree with the American Pie lyric which would have us believe that the music died along with, Richie Valens, Buddy Holly, and the Big Bopper on 2/3/59. However, I did,  get off the bus after the sixties. What you will find on this web, therefore, will be limited to those four great musical decades.
